Marathon Training {Day 5} | Iowa City Runner

Well, today was the infamous “long run”.  Problem is, I didn’t sleep last night at all, I got to bed about 5am, thanks to my RLS.  So today’s run was tough.  I walked much more than I would have wanted to.  It probably didn’t help that I worked on legs at Planet Fitness yesterday!  I trudged through it anyway and pulled out 4 miles in 49:13.  Not my best time, however, the long runs are supposed to be slower than the shorter, weekday runs.



It snowed a little last night, so it was very wet outside, and there were a few slick spots, but not too bad.  Most of it had melted by the time I got out (about 12:30ish).   It was cloudy and gloomy too.

I do feel good about getting out there and getting it done.  I look at Half Marathon training like I have a job that has set times that I cannot back out of.

Here’s today’s stats.  I’m well over my 10,000 steps for today as well.
