Mid Week Bites

WOW it’s Wednesday already?  Where does the time go?  Sheesh.  It seems like just yesterday it was Saturday and I was running my weekly long run!

Time flies folks!

Tuesday I worked my volunteer job from 12-4 and then I came straight home, changed clothes and got my 4 miles in before I ran out of daylight.  I love it it is staying lighter longer now.  Only a few more weeks and we’ll be turning the clocks ahead an hour and then we will have lots more daylight! I ran an easy 4 miles down the Sycamore Greenspace trail.  It’s fast and fairly flat and it is right near my house, which is really nice.

The thing I love, is NEVER would I have thought I’d be saying 4 miles was an easy run.  I used to laugh when people would say that.  But each time I go out I can feel myself getting stronger.  I told Ralph that when I got home tonight, that I felt stronger during tonight’s run!   Running is powerful and the way it makes me feel is 2nd only to the way Christ makes me feel.  Empowered!!

I didn’t take any pics on my run, but I shot 2 afterwards.  We still have snow here, but it’s melting some.   Check out the sunset when I got home.  Beautiful!

Today I have a 5 mile run on the schedule and I am hoping to do some yoga stretches and maybe some lifting at the gym.  I need to see if my gym buddy (aka my friend Carol) wants to hit up Planet Fitness with me.    We’re supposed to get 3-5 inches of snow today into tonight, so I am not sure if I will be able to run outside tomorrow, just depends on the temperature and when I get out of the house!!   I am not against running in the snow.  I did it on Saturday and I loved it!
