Good Morning!! Time for another Thinking Out Loud Thursday. Today’s edition is brought to you by a smoothie, a toilet story & a freezing cold run. Curious yet? Sweet!
Linking up of course with the lovely Amanda from The Tiny Runner
So I’ll update y’all since I wasn’t on the blog yesterday.
Tuesday I worked my volunteer job from 12-4, then I came home, changed and went on a 4 mile HM training run. Now mind you, that’s not anything to write home about normally, but Monday night and Tuesday morning we had freezing rain so there was ice everywhere. Not a pretty site. I am pretty sure I went ice skating not running! It was a very long 4 miles. At one point I crossed the street to the other side, and it was not better on the other side. This chicken should have never crossed the road! The sidewalks were just no bueno. It took me 50 minutes to run 4 miles. My longest mile took me over 13 minutes. But I did it, and without gloves since I left them at home by accident! OY!
Here’s a shot from that run. This is at the park from my car window. I took a selfie, but it was too blurry to use on the blog.
You can kinda tell in the photo that the path had ice on it, the sidewalks weren’t much better. I got her done though and I still felt good afterwards!
That evening after dinner and everything, I relaxed on the couch with hubby in the recliner watching one of my favorite HGTV shows: Fixer Upper. I love this show!
Chip & Joanna are so amazing. I wish I could hire her to just come and help me decorate my house. Yes, in case you were wondering, I do hang my medals right out in the living room for all to see
Wednesday: So I spent yesterday cleaning the house (Flylady anyone?) I cleaned up the whole kitchen, vacuumed, did dishes, laundry, master bedroom…then I had a fruit smoothie for lunch
I ended up deciding not to use the cucumber after I took the pics. It was so yummy! Banana, strawberries, mango, 1 orange, 1 apple chia seeds and water. Mmmm-Mmmmm..
Then something weird happened, when I was drinking my smoothie my stomach just started to hurt. Like I was going to throw up. It was not pretty. So I slowly worked on the smoothie till it was gone and my stomach continued to bother me the rest of the day. I never did get sick to my stomach, but it caused me to forgo my 5 mile run *sad face* and also to miss my meeting with Girls on the Run. I am photographing their Spring 5K and our first meeting was last night. UGH.
On a funnier note…this happened yesterday
I had to get a photo of hubby and the dog snoozing on the floor. So sweet. And the toilet seat you ask? Well, I was so grossed out by my men “missing the mark” that Abby thought she’d make a little reminder to them!! I laughed so hard. I knew I had to share a photo on the blog. Never did I think I’d be posting a photo of our toilet on here! My husband was not amused. Hehe.
That brings me to today and up to date. I have a 4 mile run today, which will have to be indoors *Another sad face*. I had fun rambling to all of you and I hope you enjoyed this post. My family cracks me up and I love them to pieces. God has truly blessed me multiple times over.
Do you run in bad weather as well as good weather? Would you still run if there was ice out?
What are some of your favorite smoothie ingredients?
Do you ever have to clean a nasty toilet?
