Long Awaited Update

Happy Tuesday!!  Yes, I am alive.  I have been so unmotivated.  I have only run once (yesterday) in 3 weeks.  It’s been been bad.   It’s like each day I say I’m going to, then I just don’t.  I need to knock that crap off! I have a 5K on the 27th…that includes HILLS!  I really don’t think I’ll PR.

So anyway, I really didn’t want to make this into a pity party post.   However, that is my life right now. Busy and no running

We had company come from Des Moines Saturday & Sunday.  They got here in the morning on Saturday and we just hung out, watched tv, watched movies (McFarland USA and Mockingjay pt 1) and we went out for Mexican food.  It was a lot of fun!  They also have adorable doggies that they brought with them!  Of course, the photographer in me couldn’t let that go without pulling out the “hardware”.  Here are the cuties of which I speak

:)

Then they had to leave early Sunday morning :(  Mary is going to school full time and needed to get homework done.  Which I can totally #respect

Basically our lives have been busy with my teen son working, me applying at places and trying to get a job and working on some planning in my new planner.  Which is SO FUN!!  I’m addicted already!!

Here’s some photos of the new, amazing Purposeful Planner that I won!

I won two of them.  The striped one is mine. My friend Lindsey picked out the floral one.  She entered the contest with me. The planner starts on July 1st and I have been busy decorating it, writing plans in it as well as copying my Half Marathon training plan into it for October’s Half Marathon.

July 6th is our wedding anniversary so I had fun decorating that day.  You can see the planner for yourself and order one at www.CorieClarkShop.com.  They are based on her book, The Simplicity Project, which you can also get at her shop.  Happy Shopping!

Last weekend I attended the Homeschool Iowa Conference as a mama, but also as a photographer.  To be honest, I won’t do that again.  It was way  too hard to balance being there  to plan my upcoming school year with my kids and do the photos they wanted.  Just too much.  Next year I am going just as an attendee/mom.  Not worth the $45 for the conference entry to me.

Sunday my daughter went across the street and helped the little neighbor girl with her Lemonade stand.  It was so cute.  Abby made cookies and brought them over to sell also.  They made over $12 which they split.

On the health front I have been doing ok other than not sleeping well.  I wake up numerous times all night long and now my body has decided to start waking me up at 6am even though I don’t want to!  So that’s been interesting.  Now I am tired more than I used to be.

Well, I should go.  I need to get my butt in gear and go on a RUN!!!!
